LOCOMOTIVE INSTRUCTION SLATED
An instruction session in the operation of steam locomotives will be held on Saturday, March 9, 1968, at 7:30 p.m., in the Santa Fe station safety room. The class is primarily for the instruction of, those members who have signed up for the steam instruction. All members who are interested are invited to attend.
Member Robert Digiorgio is in charge of the instruction meeting. Guest instructors will be R. P. Middlebrook, a retired Santa Fe engineman and George Oliver, a Santa Fe engineer. A question and answer session will follow their presentation.
The shay will be fired up on Sunday, March 10, for further instruction for those members who have signed up for instruction.
DUES INCREASE APPROVED
The membership of the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum Association has approved the recommendation of the board of directors to increase the yearly dues for regular members to $10.00 per year.
The action was taken at our January meeting and made the increase retroactive to January 1, 1968.
DIGIORGIO MADE MASTER MECHANIC
Robert Digiorgio has been appointed to the position of Master Mechanic for the museum. Digiorgio replaces Herbert B. Kelsey who has entered military service.
MEETING NOTICE
The Pacific Southwest Railway Museum Associations next regular business meeting will be held on Sunday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. As usual the meeting will be at the Santa Fe Station, upstairs in the Safety Room.
Please be sure to attend. This is the time to take an active part in the operation of your museum. Mark the date down now. See you there.
APPLICATION FOR ADMINISTRATIVE POST ARE BEING SOUGHT BY MUSEUM
Applications for positions of chief administrators should be sent in immediately. Wonder why? At its January meeting the board of directors vacated all existing positions.
By doing this, it was felt that everyone would have the chance to apply for a position. In this way more people could have the chance to run things a little.
Positions available are as follows:
General Superintendent (operations); Director of Publications, Public Relations Director; Superintendent of Records and Personnel; Comptroller; and Purchasing Agent-Storekeeper.

MEMBERS MAY ATTEND
Just to remind you. Members of the museum may attend meetings of the board of directors. They are invited to listen to the proceedings and have the opportunity to express their ideas if they wish. At these meetings only board members may vote.
If you wish to attend, the meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month in the board room of the San Diego Trust & Savings Bank, 640 Broadway, Downtown San Diego. Take the elevator in the building lobby to the mezzanine floor and ask a custodian for directions. Remember the next meeting is on Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m.
