In order to raise funds for acquisition of land and for purchase of railway equipment, PSRMA is raffling several prizes, including five framed reproduc- tions of steam train paintings by Howard Fogg (donated by President John Barriger III, Pittsburgh & Lake Erie R.R.), some historic photographs and books for the adults. For the youngsters we have a model train set and several other pieces of model railroad equipment. A club official will pass through the train sell ing chances at 10 cents each, three for 25 cents. The drawing will be held at the Oceanside Station before departure for San Diego. See the prizes and purchase additional tickets in the baggage lounge car.
O.E.T. BOOK STORE IS ON TRAIN
The Orange Empire Traction Museum of Perris, Calif, has set up a branch book store in the headquarters car. Look for a large variety of railroad books, both foreign and domestic as well as back issues of the Dispatcher. All profits go to O.E.T.'s museum activities. PSRMA urges you to support OET and its projects.
PHOTOGRAPHS ARE ALSO ON SALE
Historic photographs of San Diego are on sale in the headquarters car at 50 cents each or three for $1. All profits from these sales go towards PSRMA museum projects, first and foremost of which is the acquisition of motive power and land. PSRMA is looking for a small piece of property for storage and maintenance and restoration. A permanent museum site is also being sought.

Save October 18 for a ride on the Railway Historical Society of San Diego Museum Train. This is the one which will take you to the O.E.T. museum at Perris. See 50 street cars and interurbans. Some will operate.

Santa Fe folk who deserve credit are: John J. McCarthy, general passenger agent, and Ward C. Musick, city passenger agent.
One PSRMA member, Treasurer Charles Gerdes is rebuilding a four wheel Birney trolley car which ran in San Diego in the 1920s. Much painstaking research was necessary inasmuch as plans are not available. Gerdes is also custodian of an original Coronado Railroad horse car. Many needed parts must be built by hand.
Walter Hayward, museum committee chairman, is custodian of a Model A Ford which will be rebuilt for Museum use. He also has a motorized section car which is available for display and will be used on the museum track.
Raffle ticket seller Terry Durkin has his own track in his back yard. On it he operates his own collection of both motorized and hand-pump section cars.
